Bank of Canada Structural Ramp Restoration
Project Description
MCL proudly delivered a transformative upgrade to the Bank of Canada’s double garage entrance ramp at the prestigious 234 Wellington building in downtown Ottawa. This complex project showcased MCL’s expertise in structural concrete repairs, advanced heating systems and premium membrane installations, all executed with precision under challenging conditions, including strict security clearances, phased ramp closures and client-driven schedule requirements.
The project involved the removal of existing concrete, membrane and glycol heating systems, followed by intricate structural repairs over mechanical rooms. MCL then installed a state-of-the-art glycol ramp heating system and an extra-heavy-duty PUMA membrane designed to withstand heavy equipment traffic. Interior garage work included upgrades to drainage systems and meticulous membrane repairs, overcoming ventilation challenges with tailored solutions.
