Project Description
This project involved excavating around a highly sensitive fibre optics facility to expose foundation walls for waterproofing and utility upgrades, along with installing a new industrial sump pump system. A phased work process maintained fire escape routes and employee access to minimize disruption.
MCL addressed challenges in soil management and custom trench box design using thorough soil testing/management and tailored traffic control plans. Specialized trench boxes and hydro-vac methods managed contaminated soil near sensitive Bell network cables.
The scope also included sanitary line replacements, structural shoring for masonry repairs and a sump pump installed below the footing elevation.
