Chateau Vanier Tower A
Project Description
Maddison Construction Limited (MCL) managed the restoration of two elevations of concrete balconies on a 19-storey condominium tower. The project included removing and reinstating structural concrete at height, applying new acrylic coatings on vertical elements, and BASF traffic coatings on balcony decks. Structural control joints were resealed, and balcony railings were inspected, sanded, painted, and updated with newly fabricated steel foot plates.
The scope expanded to include lead-containing coating abatement, performed with specialized PPE and HEPA equipment to ensure safety. MCL adapted the project schedule and safety plans to meet these requirements while maintaining progress.
Access was achieved using Fraco and swing stages, installed and inspected by accredited specialists. MCL’s rigorous health and safety measures ensured secure operations, highlighting its commitment to worker and public safety.
