Project Description
In 2021, MCL partnered with CSV Architects on the heritage restoration of Dickinson House in Manotick, Ont., preserving this historic 1867 property.
Beginning with a detailed 3D scan, our team meticulously restored wood siding, shutters, storm windows and doors, custom-milling Eastern pine to match the original patterns. After caulking, priming and painting, we applied a heritage-inspired colour scheme that enhances the building’s architectural details.
This restoration received the 2023 City of Ottawa Heritage Award of Excellence, honouring our dedication to preserving Ottawa’s architectural heritage for future generations. This project was completed in collaboration with the City of Ottawa, reaffirming our commitment to heritage and quality craftsmanship.
